PARK BENCH I left work earlier than usual today. I thought I'd take a walk on a nearby park. No sense in driving there, so I walked. When I reached the park I didn't feel like walking anymore. Perhaps I'm not quite the wanderer I thought I was. Maybe work has drained too much of my energy. Either way, I sat on a bench and watched people going by. A very beatiful lady sits right next to me. She smells like the prettiest girl I've ever seen. I decide to tell her: - Hello, lady. What time is it? - Sex o'clock -- she answers with a flirting smile. - You read my mind. - What? -- she replies. - Nevermind. Don't you find it weird that the sun is still up there in the sky while it's already so late in the afternoon? - I do. That's daylight savings for you... Now I have to wait a whole extra hour for the sunset. Not that I'm complaining. - Not that you are... There is at least one good thing about the sun being so high in the sky right now, though. -- I said in the most enigmatic way I could. - What is that? - Well, were it a little dimmer I might have missed how pretty you really is. - Oh! Thank you, sir. -- she blushed while smiling the cutest, but slightly nervous, smile. - Funny thing, huh? - What? - Beauty -- so vain, yet so important. - In a dark room everyone is pretty. -- she observes. I had nothing to add, so I looked down. I saw the backpack she was carrying. I hadn't noticed it before. The backpack was sitting by her on the bench. There was a Debian sticker on it. Something to talk about. - Debian, huh? -- I said while pointing to the sticker. - Oh! Yeah! -- she looked a bit surprised -- I don't know much about computers, but I want freedom! - Awesome! What version do you run? - I'm running Debian sid. Helping with the development, I guess. - Cool, I have done some work for Debian. Packaging, you know? - That's awesome! I'd like to learn that. - I can teach you, if you'd like. Have you seen that tutorial on Debian women site? - Oh. Yeah, that... It doesn't open very well on Opera. - You use Opera?! That was a show stopper.
